MIDCENTURY & POSTMODERN BY JIM WARD MORRIS

The new Jim Ward Morris prints titled MIDCENTURY and POSTMODERN have been described as "appropriated popular culture imagery influenced by others like Andy Warhol and Mies van der Rohe." The new prints use a minimal modern design with pop art images and color juxtaposed.

LIMITED EDITION PRINT FRAMED

The LIMITED EDITION PRINT FRAMED by Jim Ward Morris is made as a C-Print on Fujiflex Crystal Archive paper. This print edition is available in 3 different sizes and limited to 25 copies per-size, making 75 the total number of prints created per-image worldwide. This limited edition print includes an extended white border as part of the original design, plus each limited edition print receives a certificate signed by the artist with the print number, title and date.

The LIMITED EDITION PRINT FRAMED is permanently laminated between a clear acrylic front cover and a polished metal backing. A wood liner hanging fixture attached to the metal backing surface completes our carefully designed framing process. This minimal, modern presentation gives each print a floating, frame-less appearance on the wall…and the framed limited edition print purchased at JIMWARDMORRIS.COM arrives at your door (in a custom built reusable container) ready to be hung.

The LIMITED EDITION PRINT FRAMED does NOT need any additional glass or framing material. The clear acrylic cover, metal backing and wood liner hanging fixture protect each print the same as a traditional frame. This type of framed (or laminated) print is considered a museum quality display alternative.

FUJIFLEX CRYSTAL ARCHIVE PRINTING MATERIAL

Fujiflex paper is designed for the printing of professional and museum quality color digital display prints. The white polyester-based material is suited for a variety of uses including large displays, professional advertisements and art exhibits. Fujiflex paper produces exceptional quality prints characterized by a wide tonal range, clean whites, rich deep blacks, distinctive color, durability, long life and excellent surface smoothness.

C-PRINT

C-Print is a chromogenic print made on color photographic paper (Fujiflex Crystal Archive Printing Material). The exposure phase of a C-Print is accomplished with a traditional photographic enlarger or by using a digital exposure technique. The most common C-Print processing used is called RA-4. C-Prints produce extremely sharp and visually rich high quality large format color prints designed for a long life.

ANALOG TO DIGITAL

The MIDCENTURY series (square format) and the POSTMODERN series (wide screen format) created by Jim Ward Morris begin as printed analog imagery. Selected images are photographed and saved as digital files. Image documents are placed with color, line and illustrated shapes using a design application program. The final art is created as a C-Print exposed to Fujiflex photographic paper. Each print has a strong resistance to fading (predicted permanence is at least 50 years without a significant color change). Each image consistently prints with high quality regardless of size, from small, medium and large sizes. All prints are created with rich deep blacks, clean whites, brilliant colors…plus all prints produced on Fujiflex paper yield an extremely high image quality and durability with a sharp, glossy, extra smooth display surface finish.

The printing and framing process used at JIMWARDMORRIS.COM is museum quality and archival.
